Signs of Spring

I have been trying to get up in the morning and walk. There is something about the quiet of the morning that I need to collect my thoughts before a hectic day. It has been warm in North Carolina...winter seems to have skipped us. There are signs of spring and I must admit...I am excited for the next season. Some of the things I am most excited about...

Shot Through The Heart

I have no idea why I love these arrows from Verla Ivans so much. There is just something so interesting about them and they remind me of summer (not sure why!). 

I love the different colors and think they would be awesome in my office. I am about to go through an office makeover and think these would be perfect!

My name is Carolyn Jordan Clark, some people like to call me “little Carolyn”. As my cousins know…every chance I get I tell people my name. I was named after my grandmother. 

It is my highest honor.

I have been blog silent for almost a month...more actually. I hate being "blog silent". Life sometimes stops me from expressing. The last few weeks have been tough. I lost my grandmother and I moved to a new home (this is a good thing!). 

My grandmother's death stopped me in my tracks. It has been such a loss. She was an incredible person. There aren't any words that I can say to express how much she meant to me.

Such a beautiful woman! How about that dress...I mean wow. Also, my handsome grandfather. Love his sideburns!

I think about her every single day. I miss her. I miss writing letters to her each week and calling her on Sundays. My life is different since she is gone. I feel a tremendous responsibility to carry on her legacy and represent her grace and goodness to the world. I am hoping to be a better person in 2012 for her.

Ugh...my dear friend Ashley introduced me to Shop Sosie and I immediately spent over $100. They have the cutest stuff and their prices are fantastic! I bought 3 tops/blazers and am pumped to get them and try them out.

How cool are these pieces of jewelry from Cursive Design. I love the metal and lace. I am such a jewelry person. I always have been. I have so many necklaces and earrings that sometimes I get overwhelmed. 

I think the prices are not too bad for these. They are definitely pieces of art.

Trailer Girl: Like Crazy (thanks Cat!)

I have this super cool friend named Cat and she always has great book and movie suggestions. When she emailed me this week about the movie "Like Crazy" I couldn't wait to watch the trailer. And when I did...MAGIC. I am in love....with a movie. Obviously I can relate to the premise, two classmates fall in love...one is British, one American and so they being their long distance relationship.

Welcome Cash McConnell Anderson

My best friend Jaime welcomed a beautiful little boy into the world in July! My husband and I had the pleasure of photographing this adorable child. Everyone knows I have a special place in my heart for Jaime's daughter Ella. But this little Cash has also stolen our heart.
