Family Pride: Clark Girls

I have been blessed to be part of an amazing family - The Clark family. Every year my 1st and 2nd cousins...the "Clark Girls"...get together to celebrate our generation of girls. We pick a location and get together for a weekend of fun, fellowship, and eating.

We spent a glorious weekend at Lake Burton this past weekend. There were 8 of us there! We were missing 4 (including our youngest cousin who isn't yet able to attend).

Every Clark Girls weekend we have a toast written by one of our parents. It is read and we sit together to talk about our heritage. There are no words to describe the pride and the emotion that this weekend brings. We literally feel the history of our family surround us and feel the swell of our grandparents pride. We record the toasts and send them to those that can't attend. Here is one of the toasts read this weekend by Frank Clark.

We were blessed to have our 10 month old cousin in attendance. His mom gave us a true example of what motherhood is all about. She was laid back and it is clear that little boy has a wonderful life!
