i am on a hunt

i discovered the most beautiful little demitasse cup in my moms cabinet and now i am obsessed. i have started a hunt to find the set. the little demitasse cappuccino cup is from the flea market and my mom paid $.25 cents for it. i am completely smitten. i took a few pictures of it!


the maker is an incredibly famous china company from london called aynsley. the company was founded by the english potter john aynsley in 1861 and the aynsley family have been producing fine bone china since 1775.
my hunt has taken me all over the web and i have been able to find various versions of the set. the first set is close. it is a lighter version of the teacup and saucer. the dark teal set is the same colors as the one i found in my mom's cabinet. the dark teal just floors me!

(they are selling 1 set for $45.99 - isn't that CRAZY!)
